ESPN — North American sports team owners were prevalent in Forbes’ annual list of billionaires published Tuesday as 20 NBA owners, 19 NFL owners, 10 NHL owners and eight MLB owners all fit the bill.
The richest among those is Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, who Forbes says is the 26th-richest person in the world with a net worth of $23.5 billion.
Ballmer, the former CEO of Microsoft, bought the Clippers in 2014 for a record $2 billion.
Look there are certain people that you just have to like. Can’t pinpoint it, they’re just universally likable. Leo. Michael Strahan. Gronk. Stewie from Family Guy. Lennie from Of Mice And Men. Steve Ballmer.
When someone has this much excitement about literally everything it’s infectious. I don’t know anything about developing but watching him sweat through his dress shirt fist pumping and yelling “Developers! Developers! Developers!” has me standing up at my desk doing the same thing. Fucking love developers now.
Steve Ballmer is awesome and the fact that he’s worth $23.5 billion makes it even better. You just want to hop an Uber with him and make this 23.5 billion dollar ball of electricity your cool uncle forever.
Full Disclosure: Upon writing this the first time I wrote Of Mouse And Men instead of Of Mice And Men. Like one mouse, singular. Oops.
