U.S. General dies in Afghanistan
Yesterday, an Afghan soldier opened fire at an Afghan training base, killing an American two-star general and wounding 15 other coalition forces. Maj. Gen. Harold Greene is the highest ranking American officer killed in the Afghanistan war.

There has been intense social media outcry against bringing known infected patients with Ebola into the United States. Response to such criticism has cited the fact that the Ebola virus does not spread particularly easily (only through direct contact of bodily fluids), that American hospitals are well-equipped to manage Ebola, and common-sense hygiene can stop its spread.
Two Americans who were infected in West Africa were recently flown to Atlanta for treatment; they both received a top secret medicine that appears to have significantly helped their cases.
New NSA Leaker
A new story published on Intercept this week cites classified documents from the National Counterterrorism Center dated August 2013, which is after Edward Snowden fled the U.S.. Government officials are investigating to find the identity of the leaker.
1.2 Billion Internet Passwords Stolen
A U.S. security firm said yesterday that Russian hackers stole 1.2 billion Internet usernames and passwords in what is quite possibly the largest digital security breach in history. Cyber security experts are citing users’ tendency to use the same password across many different login platforms, allowing hackers to turn a single hacked password into a full-access card.
