Poor Sergio. Everything he does is just the opposite of what you’re supposed to do. When he’s right, he’s wrong. When he’s wrong, he’s wrong. When he wins, he loses. When he loses, he finishes triple-triple at The Players then goes on a month-long media bender culminating with public fried chicken cracks at Tiger.
So he’s 2-up at this point. Rickie’s looking at 17 feet for par; Sergio’s got 4 feet for par. He offers “good-good” on a putt that I wouldn’t give to my dad for double bogey on Fathers’ Day, and ultimately loses 1-down. Guy just can’t win.
