Today, 2 young boys and a young girl are recovering after their inflatable play house, the Little Tikes Bounce House, went airborne. Apparently, a gust of wind ripped the Bounce House from the ground and carried it 20 feet in the air.
The boys, 5 and 6, were seriously injured and airlifted to local hospitals. The girl, 10, did not need to be taken to a hospital. Little Tikes released this statement on the incident:
“Providing safe and wholesome play experiences is of utmost importance to Little Tikes. We are looking into what happened in South Glen Falls. … In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers are with the children and their families.”
Wow. Terrifying, yet exciting. Because every kid, back when this was our main source of fun, dreamed with their pals, Man how awesome would it be if this thing flew!? Well, it happened. It flew.
This is just another reason to avoid being in the air right now. I wrote about it on Monday, and I’ll remind you of it today: avoid being in the air. It’s just not a great time to be in the air. Take to land. Take to sea. Take to alcohol. Do not take to air.
Hope everyone recovers nicely.
PS – Bounce House is a great name. Sounds like a strip club.
